...have you had this month?

I have just finished my final order for December. It has been a crazy month! I just counted and since December 1st, I have done 7 cakes, 21 dozen cookies, and 4 cookie bouquets! It has been a good but overwhelming month (I also have a 50+ hour per week job).

Thanks to all my fellow CCers for the great ideas, inspiration, discussions, etc., that I've seen on here. Honestly, seeing all that you experience has helped get through the busyness.

I now start a long hiatus from decorating. I've been instructed by my doctor to not use my right (dominant) hand for ANY decorating until January 16th, which is when I am having carpal tunnel surgery -- and then it's at least 4 weeks off after that. Although I won't be decorating, I will keep checking out the beautiful work you all produce!

Happy holidays to all! icon_biggrin.gif

I don't have any orders, because I don't sell my stuff. But I am making cookies and cakes for gifts. I have 5 cakes, 6 quart size cookie buckets and 15 gallon size buckets to finish by Monday. I am going to be busy the next few days.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE
AND THANKS TO EVERYONE ON THIS SITE FOR GIVING ME SO MUCH INSPIRATION TO GET BETTER AT WHAT I LOVE TO DO!

I had a few orders and my son B-Day but have had one family tragic problem after another. MY brother(hospital) cousin (died) uncle (hospital) sister ( hospital yesterday don't know what's up yet) So I have orders but things like that aren't as important right know. I am doing what I can when I can. I thank God in away I am not as big yet as I want to be. Because my business would surelly suffer.

I've only done 48 cupcakes so far but I have a cake due tomorrow. And cakes to make for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday!
Good luck, rsaun, on your upcoming surgery.
kaychristensen- Hopefully, things will get better soon. Will keep you in my prayers.

I had one person order 5 dozen cookies & 30 cake balls - then orders for another 1-1/2 dozen cookies, a few cookie trees, and yule log. Worst part is I would love to have tomorrow to decorate, but it is my company holiday party and these orders are due on Friday1 All cookies are done and need to be decorated, but that is over 6 doz cookies! Then there is the yule log.... what is wrong with me - must be crazy! Still have not Christmas shopped and want to make family members some baked goods. icon_cry.gif Did I mention I worl full time out of the house? Wish I had one more PTO day to take off and finish all this!

I only took one order for a birthday cake because I knew it would be too much otherwise. I made a cake for my husband to take to work, cake balls from the leftover birthday cake, and baked chocolate chip pound cakes in jars to give as gifts. There was a pie somewhere in there. Today I am going to make my baby's 1st birthday cake and that will be it for the year!

i've only ever sold 2 cakes but the last family cake was in November. This month my mother and i have been baking up a storm of sweets like cookies, date squares, holly squares, skore squares, chocolate mint cookies ect. I think we baked like 2 days a week this month. cant wait till x-mas eve to munch on our creations. We always bake and freeze then dish em out on x-mas eve.
