So I have been asked for a friend of mine at work if I can make a cake for another associates birthday coming up. The only problem is I CANT STAND THE GIRL. We do not get along at all.

I usually can think of something really cute but I have nothing! Not one idea. I have been asked to make a 1/2 sheet cake in marble with just plain buttercream filling and icing. She also wanted to have yellow roses.

If you have any suggestions you would like to throw by way I would be really greatful!!!! icon_confused.gif

Think of it as a business. If you had a shop you might be doing many cakes for people you don't care for, that doesn't mean you are going to turn down an order. Old saying "Don't bite off your nose to spite your face." In other words, this cake might just be the one that brings in several orders for you.

Just look at it as a way to practice a new design, don't even worry about who it's for. Plus, if you do a great job you'll get more attn than the b/day girl, hehe.

Being that it's fall, what about yellow roses with some fall leaves and acorns around it. You could even do basket weave on the sides and make handles out of fondant. Even through in some fondant pumpkins, gourds, etc. if you feel like practicing making them.

Good Luck.....post a pic when you're done. I'm always looking for new ideas for sheet cakes as those are most ofmy orders!
