Has anyone worked with this before? If so, can you tell me - does it dry hard or soft? What is the consistancy when you are working with it? I am assuming it's like tootsie rolls. But I found one recipe that said it could be like gumpaste if you squeeze out the oils.

Do you have a good recipe?

Thanks.

chocolate clay gets very firm as it rests and then you knead it to soften it up. The warmth from your hands can soften it considerably. Its a great medium to workwith, yes, similar to gumpaste. It won't roll thin like gumpaste and hold its shape but it does have more strength than fondant. I had no success doing roses with gumpaste and fondant but found the white chocolate clay so easy for making roses. It dries firm but is still edible. It has a great flavor, too. Try it. Its fun.

Alana, thanks for the info.

Another question, when you bite into something made with the chocolate clay - does it have that same snap you get when you bite into good chocolate?
