I just made some of this from the recipe here, but was confused. I used only the first pound of powdered sugar. It said not to use all of the second pound, but to add 1 T at a time, if I am reading it right. I overflowed the bowl when I melted the marshmallows, so I probably had a little less. I did keep adding and kneading a little at a time, but was wondering if there should be ANY stickiness to it because as it sat it would get sticky a little so I'd add more. I wonder what I"ll find in the morning.

I guess the real question is, does this require much more than a pound of sugar for the pound of marshmallows?

I just made a batch of MMFfor the first time a few minutes ago too. I used almost a 2 lb bag, maybe a 1 cup left over. and it wasn't sticky at all when i was done. I used the instructions that flowergirlmn posted a lil while back... worked like a charm

I use almost all of the sugar. Maybe 1-11/2 cups left over.

Same thing for me. Almost 2 lbs to get it where it's not sticky.
