Making Nick Lodge's Gumpaste From Meringue Powder?

I need to make some gumpaste but I'm out of egg whites and payday isn't til Tuesday. Can I make Royal Icing out of Meringue Powder and then add the Tylose?

I always make my RI with Meringue Powder.

If you go to my website, www.crawfordscreations.com, and click on the FAQ tab, you will find the Tylose gumpaste recipe. At the end of the recipe is alternate recipe using meringue powder. It's been thoroughly tested. Enjoy!!
