How long in advance can I make a FBCT and keep it in the freezer? I want to do one for Christmas is it too early to do now?

I suppose you could do it now, I'd just be worried about freezer odors. But if you have some really good freezer bags and triple wrap it, I think you'd be ok.

I made one 1.5 weeks in advance with no problems. Just make sure it's well protected.

We freeze our extra buttercream icing, I don't see why you couldn't keep your FBCT in the freezer just as long. I would try and put it in the gal. ziplock freezer back to keep odors away.
