I have a favorite pound cake recipe that I normally cook in a 10 inch tube pan, but this time I would like to divide it up and cook it in a regular size loaf pan (5x9 I think) to give away as gifts. How much batter should I pour in the loaf pan? Half full, 3/4,? I don't want to pour so much that it doesn't cook through, but I also don't want to pour too little and get a short loaf.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

I would follow normal guidelines, 1/2 - 2/3 of the way full. If you are concerned about it cooking through, turn the temp down to 325 and only fill 1/2 full.
