I will be making cinnamon rolls and it calls for this ingredient...

Cinnamon, Korintje Grade AA (0.0745 lb)

Can anyone tell me what this is and where I can get it, I live in canada. Thanks Jen

Jen, it's a type/brand of cinnamon. I don't know where to find it in Canada, sorry! I've found it through gourmet catalogs and upscale markets here in the US.

Thanks I thought it was that....I think that any cinnamon will do! I jsut wanted to amek sure it was not some special liquid cinnamon. Thanks again Jen

Any good cinnamon will work in it's place. I use the cinnamon I buy in bulk from GFS or Sam's to make cinnamon rolls all the time ~ no one will be able to tell the difference.

Please, forgive my ignorance...but won't any cinnamon do?

kind of like a recipe calling for Hershey's cocoa...would Valrhona do?

You know I do think Cinnamon is a bit different....I also buy that bulk Cinnamon from Sams club and I swear its stronger than those little containers you buy from the store....but maybe its just me!

Penzey's spice company sells several types of Cinnamon including Korintje. Personally, I prefer Vietnamese Cassia because it is stronger. I purchase most of my spices from Penzey's. They are fresher than super market spices and you can purchase small amounts or large depending on how much you use. Also they have several spice blends that are very good.
