So I am in the process of getting licensed and I need to pick a name; I have the name I like, but would like to see if anyone else in my state also uses that name. Does anyone know where I can find this info out?

I live in WV, and the Secretary of State has a searchable database that you access right from their website. You might start by checking out your state's SofS's website or giving the office a call. Good luck!

Your search will need to go beyond the state level because you never know whether the name you want is federally trademarked. If it is I would find a different name.
