Anyone heard of these little critters? A lady wants just a sheet cake with the WEBKINS blue hippo on it. I would LOVE to do a 3D hippo out of the bear pan for an extra gift for the little girl..... I need an idea how I would DO that.... I would have to "puff" up the cheeks, and make feet out of something like a cylinder shape. or a cupcake, or maybe a couple of large marshmallows stuck together.... My question is how would I attach them ? She gave me a picture off the net, and it is SOOOO UGLY....... but that is what the little one picked out.... sighhhhh....

I've not heard of them.... remind me of those beanie baby things. the picture of the hippo on the main page is cute: http://www.webkinz.com/

perhaps you could do a sheet cake with the scene from the main page on it so it's not just the hippo? some trees and his friends?

or perhaps a the scene that's on the main page but with a -d tree and 3-d figures (they look pretty simple so wouldn't take very long). that'd give the little one a keepsake should they decide to keep the figurines

My DD has 7 of them. And I have one. icon_redface.gif

I would probably carve the hippo figure. As for the face, I would either use marshmellows or RCT to make a 3-D shape of the nose. I would make some blue frosting that's a couple shades darker to make the effect of the "fur" on the hippo. Just as some accents.

Webkinz are a brilliant idea. Wish I had thought of it. LOL.

GL!!

Well, I've never actually "carved" anything..... that is why I was hoping to use the bear pan and modify it somehow..... I wish I had thought of these guys too....... They will be raking in the "dough".... icon_lol.gif
