Help - last night I made a fondant baseball jersey to put on a cake. When I went to put it on the cake it got all stretched out and misshaped. Should I add gumtex or use gumpaste? Should I make it and let it harden before putting it on the cake. I tried letting a onesie dry one time and when I went to move it, it cracked all over the place?? Thanks for your help!

The way I do it is let it dry just a tad...you don't have to add anything...dont roll it to thin and it won't stretch I promise icon_smile.gif . Also I sometimes use my big cake paddle (looks like a really large spatula except it's round)

I HTH's icon_smile.gif
Have a great day

I agree, if you roll it thick enough, you shouldn't have a problem with it stretching. Also, I use the plastic cut guard sheets you can buy to cut your vegatables on (semidisposible). These tend to be nonstick and heavy enough to be transported from one work area to another without disturbing your fondant shape. Good Luck!. thumbs_up.gif
