I am making a Halloween cake and would like to have some kind of red gooie filling. The cake will be devils foods, and I would like to have the red oozing out. Any suggestions on what to use??? icon_eek.gif

strawberry filling should do the trick. I know you can get it in sleeves, but someone else will have to tell you where.

I'm doing a similar cake for the Halloween party at my job. Here is one of the recipes that I found.

Things You'll Need

* 2 cups raspberries
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 container of vanilla-flavored frosting or any light-colored frosting
* Blender
* Cake knife

Steps
1
Step One
Blend the raspberries and sugar in the blender until completely smooth. This will be the "blood." icon_evil.gif
2
Step Two
Pour the raspberry puree into the hollowed-out bottom layer of the cake.
3
Step Three
Rest the top layer of the cake on the bottom layer, completely covering the raspberry filling.

The entire recipe is on : http://www.ehow.com/how_2067767_make-bleeding-heart-cake.html

All I am going to end up doing is buying a few containers of no sugar added, seedless raspberry preserves. Haven't decided yet.
