I baked a chocolate cake DH mix and It came out cracked to the top and burnt at the bottom.I wanted to torte it and put a filing in the middle but I'm afraid it will fall apart.I don't know if I should just try crumb coating of what.Please help????????

Wait for it to cool completely. I would still torte it but just be very careful and don't worry so much about the crack, just try to torte right in between it and the burnt layer. HTH.

If it's truly burnt, I'd just trash it and start over. Sounds as if your oven might be hotter than the setting. You might want to get an oven thermometer so you can be sure what temperature you're baking at.
