Ok... I'm getting desperate!

I am going on holidays and need to have a cake pre-made (made today and frozen) so that the day I get back I can decorate it for a party the next morning.

I was looking at a pound cake, vanilla cake... I have pretty much all ingredients... so I really need any ideas on a sure fire - never fail when frozen - cake recipe.

The only prob I have is that I only have 4 eggs! and 1/2 tin of cocoa powder if I was to make a choc cake...

Anyone out there able to help????

TIA

Does it have to be a chocolate cake?? If not then maybe you can make the WASC (white almond sour cream) cake here on CC. I get rave reviews on it and it's good to freeze as well. Depending on the size of the cake, I use the half recipe and that only uses 4 egg whites. Good Luck!!

Here is a recipe that I use for all my cakes:-

4 eggs
125g butter/margarine
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 cups milk
2tsp baking powder
1tsp vanilla essence

It all depends on what kind of cake you are baking.

For sheet cake (9x13) I double the recipe........

Hope this will help some???
