I ordered some cake dummies to practice on as well as the Mini Ball Pan (no local stores carry the pan). I was so looking forward to trying the Christmas ornament cupcakes BUT my package came today and the Mini Ball Pan is NOT in the box icon_cry.gif To top that off, I called the vendor and they had no explanation and refused to priority ship the pan to me...it probably won't be here in time for Christmas icon_sad.gif I don't usually do this but I got such poor customer service that I feel like I need to warn my CC friends --- don't ever order from Pattycakes.com (Pattycakes Cake Decorating & Candy Supplies in Jackson Heights, NY)

Thanks for the warning! You might want to try ebay and see if someone is selling your ball pan. Since they are individuals or online "powersellers", they will most likely be willing to ship priority. I've bought several pans from there, and have never been disappointed. Also, I keep getting emails from JoAnn.com. You might want to try them. HTH

Wow, I'm glad that warning us, I've actually shopped in the store itself, and was thrilled to see they shipped, but now that you said you had a bad experience I won't. I think they're new at shipping, because they've never offered it until rescently, they also changed the website. I myself just ordered some things from Candyland crafts, I like them. Sorry about your disappointment.

In the spirit of good customer service, they should have overnighted or 2-day mailed the merchandise out. Mistakes do happened, & that doesn't always make them a bad place to order from, BUT they should have made it right ASAP icon_smile.gif

IMO

Thanks everyone...I agree with daltonam, mistakes do happen but THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE IT RIGHT!!! I would not of thought twice about if they had apologized and put the pan in 2-day mail!

I agree with Daltonam,

There should have been no question about sending you one overnight at their expense.
Customer service is so important, especially when there is so much competition out there.
Hope you manage to get one.

I agree with the others. Mistakes happen all of the time. That's not the problem. You just need to make good on them. It's no different that we would do if someone were unhappy with one of our cakes or other confections. You make good on the customer service end.

I order almost weekly from Country Kitchen Sweet Art. A few months back, one of my separator plates was missing from an order. I called immediately, since I needed it for a weekend wedding. Ya'll, I had it the NEXT day! They are absolutely awesome and have superior customer service in my book. Awesome!

Good luck on getting what you need in time!!!
Amy

what a coincidence to read this, when just yesterday I sent my husband who happened to be in Queens, NY to that store and when he call me from there to ask me what I need it he said that the attendant could not speak english so my dh gave the phone to the clerk and I spoke spanish to him and he didn't have a clue of what I was talking about (I was asking for impression mats) so he said to wait and got someone else from the back and she told me they didnt have any left (hard to believe) so I ask them for boxes and boards and their prices were so much higher than the ones I buy here in south jersey at my local party store. so we bought nothing...I was very dissapointed too

lovescakes...when I called about my missing pan a man answered the phone who spoke NO english, he gave the phone to a woman who spoke broken english but was able to communicate with me (I didn't think anything of that being from San Antonio). Ray75 on this thread said they just started their mail order side of the business, I don't think they're quite ready for mail order.
