Can Someone Translate 3 1/2 Pds. Of Con. Sugar Into Cups.

The recipe I have calls for 3 1/2 lbs. of confectioners sugar. I don't have a scale, can some give me the measurements in cups please.

2 lbs is approx. 8 cups HTH

1 lb. is appox 4 cups so you would need 14 cups of icing sugar

If you could weigh the pwd sugar then use a measuring cup that would help. When I do this the 1 lb would become 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 cup pwd sugar. So when some say 4 cups it is approximate in weight. HTH>

If your using Domino's, their 2 lb bag is supposed to measure 7 1/2 to 8 cups (accd to packaging)

You need approximately 7 cups of sugar. HTH.

That's according to: http://www.dominosugar.com/baking/conversions.asp.

1 lb. = 2 cups.

3.5 * 2 = 7.
