You can make the muffins in a tree cupcake pan. Use a large Holiday platter for the fruit pizza. Or the muffins can be baked in regular muffin pans and drizzled with thinned frosting (or donut glaze) which has been tinted red or green. Just a few ideas off the top of my head. HTH

Seems muffins would be easy and perhaps, a bit more "morning" than a cake. Ice them with white buttercream and top that with a couple of piped holly leaves and red berries.

Here's a twist to the muffin suggestion:
Last year at Christmas I used ice cream cones (flat bottom ones) and baked cake batter in them. After they cooled completely, I used my #21 tip and with white bc icing swirled it to look like soft serve ice cream. Then I used red and green sprinkles over the icing. They were a big hit.

Shortcakes412, what a wonderful idea. I'll give it a try for the English class that wants a cake (and I do not have the time to make it).
Thank You!

In my DD's class they are going to make snowman bagels and have hot chocolate. The kids are going to assemble the snowmen in class. I'm not sure exactly how to assemble them, but I know that we have to bring in mini bagels, pretzel sticks, raisins, fruit roll ups, carrots, and cream cheese. I do know that the pretzel sticks are for the arms and obviously the bagels are for the snowman body. Plus they are going to cut out scarves from the fruit roll ups. The only thing I don't know is how to attach the head to the body. I guess you could shove a pretzel stick through it. I also found this idea on this website. http://www.hummingbirded.com/winter-snow.html It's basically the same idea, but you could do these ahead of time instead of the kids making them and bring them in completely finished.

WARM SNOWMAN ON COLD DAY SNACK
Put a twist on little ones' views of cold, wet snowmen with this delicious idea. Give each child three refrigerated biscuits and direct them to place them vertically on a piece of foil to resemble a snowman. Have them use pretzel sticks and raisins for the snowman's arms, eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons. Place the foil on a baking sheet and bake as directed. Serve with butter or honey.

Or if you don't want to do all of this work there's a place called Einstein Bros Bagels www.einsteinbros.com that makes candy cane shaped bagels. They aren't mint flavored, just made in the shape of a candy cane. I'm not sure if you have one of these in your area, but it's a thought. HTH
