I need to make lime green fondant for a cake this weekend.I asked the girl at the local bakery and she said she mixes lemon yellow and mint green Americolor but she didn't know the ratio.Anyone have a clue or a better idea?

Thanks in advance.

I used Americolor electric green...add until you like the color...see the lime green cake in my photos...

sorry, didn't ask if you had access to electric green americolor...I would imagine if you used lemon yellow and mint green, just add drop by drop until you get the right color. Are you making MMF? I color my marshmallows before adding the powdered sugar...much easier!

hth!

On my Supastar cake I used Electric Green # 162 and its a nice lime green color. No mixing of two colors necessary.

you can make the fondant yellow a nice deep yellow and then add just a couple drops or toothpicks of green mix it together and that will give you that lovely chartruese-ee green

I used Wilton Kelly green and Lemon yellow to make it. It is on my spider cake. And also on the purple and green cake. You can add more or less of one color to get the shade you are looking for.
