Hi! I am entering my first cake show next month. I want to do a 3 tiered stacked cake which will have a waterfall going down all three tiers. I have been told that it is best to bring the cake to the show in pieces and stack it and finish it when you get there. But, how am I supposed to do that if I want a waterfall going continuously down the tiers? I am planning on doing the waterfall in royal icing (I saw that in the gallery and liked the look a lot). Is it possible to travel a stacked cake? And if so, does it matter that the whole thing is going to be dummy cakes? Also, between dummy cakes, I don't need a seperator plate, right?
Okay, I think that is it. Thanks for the help.

if its going to be a dummy, glue those layers together with royal, giving them plenty of time to dry, and you shouldn't have any problems with it.
