Hey CC'S when is the best time to torte and fill cakes? When they are cold or room temperture. Thank you Connie

I do mine at room temperature. But I don't refrigerate mine, so I don't know.

I like mine cold, tossed in the freezer for a few minutes. It sets the cakes and keeps them from falling apart especially when dealing with larger layers.

I also prefer to do mine cold from the fridge. Less crumbs more stability.
