to make the color apricot wilton's website says to do :

2 orange + 1 golden yellow

what the heck does that mean??

When I make a color I just dip my toothpick in the coloring and then mix with my icing.

Thanks to all who can help me understand!

I would assume it means use 2 times as much orange as you use golden yellow to get an apricot color...

so for each 2 toothpicks of orange you use, use 1 toothpick of golden yellow...
