Does anyone have creative ideas for or know of a good source to get containers for cookie bouquets? I have only ever done them with terra cotta pots, but I want more options. I like the ones I have seen on some cookie bouquet sites like Cookies By Design, but I haven't been able to find a place that sells anything that would work.

Any advice appreciated!

If you have a Dollar Tree near you, they have a good assortment of containers. They always have some for the holidays and a good selection for general occasions.

You can also find different decorated tin pails at Walmart during the holidays. I usually get those for Easter and Valentine's for all my nieces and nephews, instead buying them baskets. They're usually in the seasonal aisle during the holidays and are only about a dollar each, if I recall correctly.

They're already painted in various colors, some have designs on them, but when they're plain I usually decorate them with some stickers or ribbon, or puffy letters spelling out their names.

I agree Dollar stores, Big Lots, and places like that are a good place to find cheap, but very pretty, containers to use.

Good luck!

Holly

Don't overlook garage sales or the Goodwill. I also like to use coffee mugs. Michael's usually has holiday themed mugs for only a dollar each, and the person has something to use once the cookies are gone!

I have found some decorative boxes at a store called Tuesday Morning. The Paper Factory also has boxes.

Hmm I never thought of checking the dollar stores. What a big "DUH"! There is also a Tuesday Morning store by me that I have never been too. Will have to check that out, too.

Thanks! thumbs_up.gif

I have really good luck at Target in the $1 section. Every holiday they have cute buckets...for halloween I got small black ones that say BOO....and a pumpkin.
