Please help. I have a Chanel purse cake to make for my neighbor's 16th birthday. I need to know how to do the quilted effect. Is there a tool? I would prefer to use buttercream but could use fondant if that is the easiest way to go. Thanks so much for your help!

I agree. Impression mat is great! If you can't get one in time, you could cut a strip of cardboard (like file folder thickness) in the width you want and impress the lines with a ruler in one direction, then back in the other direction to get the diamond pattern.
