I had trouble logging in, I wanted to reply to the post.
I don't know how to find post that are no longer on home page. 
I wanted to share my story. Our Wilton instructor had a man in another class who sold a wedding cake for $4,000.00
She brought in a picture, it was amazing. It was a forest with fairies and elfs. He said it took him 90 hours.
$44 an hour - not bad
I would have a coronary if I paid $4,000.00 for a cake. Also, if I put in 90 hours.

Well it probably wasn't really $44 an hour - you gotta figure in ingredients and overhead and such...... but still that sounds like a nice chunk of change! 
I would LOVE to see pictures of that cake! Sounds so cool! and heck I'd just like to see what a $4000.00 cake looks like too - I've seen Colette's and Duff's of course but I don't know how much they charge for those particular cakes so it's hard to know...... anyway - sounds awesome!Wish I could get that much for a cake! How many people did it feed??
