I can't stand using Wilton's mat anymore. It's all curled up. I have tried all the tricks (laying something over it to make it flat, bathtub in hot water, hang up to dry, ironing it) and nothing has worked. I want to purchase some other kind of mat but don't know what. Does anyone use something other then Wilton's mat? I would still need it to be large like 20 x 20. Anyone?

i just bought some vinyl today! it was about $2 for 54"x36", an enormous piece! i think i might cut it into a smaller piece for small work and keep a large piece for when i cover my cakes. i haven't tried it yet, but im super excited. i couldn't stand the way wilton's mat would slide all over the place, and curl up just like you said.
I have the same problem..annoying as hell! Will try the vinyl..it's cheap and should fit in my cabinet. Have you tried the Silpat silicone pastry mats? They are on the pricey side but heard they are worth it. Will keep an eye on this post for other suggestions.
