I did a FBCT last night, and it looks very wormy. I noticed this last time, too! The first couple times I did them, they turned out great. Can anyone help me out with this? What can I do to get a smoother look?

Thanks!
Kimberly

In the FBCT instructions, they suggest swirling around a tootpick in each section to smooth things out before you put it back in the freezer. Use a fresh one for each color and just be careful not to smudge it. I do mine on a piece of plexiglass so I can see where I might need more work.

I think that maybe your icing is too thick That could be the problem with it. Try thinning down your icing or using an all butter recipe for the bc. That might help with the worminess problem and don't forget the squishing step. That helps a lot also. Just don't squish so hard that you distort your image.
