According to recipezaar, you use chocolate cake mixes and 6 whole eggs instead of the egg whites.

Here is what's different from the regular recipe:
whole eggs
chocolate mix (I use devil's food)
2/3 c flour
1/3 c cocoa powder
omit the almond
add extra vanilla

HTH!

Is this for the full WASC recipie? the flour looks like it might be halved.
Thanks!

I made it a few weeks ago. I did everything the same, but used the chocolate mix and the whole eggs. Yummy.

I just made this last weekend and it turned out wonderfully. I just used chocolate cake mixes instead of white and used 6 whole eggs instead of 8 egg whites. This is what recipezarr says to do. Don't change anything else like the flour or anything. Here's the link for other variations.

I use what recipezaar recommends, but add 4 T (not level - I love chocolate!) of cocoa and I also use cold coffee in place of the water in the recipe ... the coffee really brings out the chocolate flavor and I get rave reviews for chocolate cake!

Oh I hadn't thought of doing the coffee instead of water, I do sub milk for some of the water sometimes as well, oh and I forgot to post that I always add a box of chocolate pudding. That probably is why by not changing the flour I don't change the chocolate taste either. It's always real big in chocolate flavor. I love this recipe. I'm not a big fan of cocoa though so that's why I do the pudding, it doesn't make it too heavy for me or anything like that either.
I love seeing everyone's variations. thumbs_up.gif
