I can't read the comments on my cakes. Have I set up something wrong? How do I fix this?

OK I have never tried this but I think this is what you do: go to the My Account pink box on the left side of the page and choose "My Forum Info" which will take you to a page which is actually titled "Profile Information". The third box down is titled "preferences" and there is a button you need to click next to "Allow other members to post comments on my photos".

I could be wrong but I am assuming you cannot read comments if this box is set to No. I'm not sure what happens if you turn comments off and then back on again, if they are retained or wiped clean?? (You didn't say if you'd already had comments up till now).

Good luck, hope it works icon_smile.gif

Hi Staci0408.. I did the same thing with my pix... you don't have a "comments" button. You need to go "my accounts" (to the left) and click My Forum Info. Scroll down to "Preference" and look for "allow members to comment on my photos"(not exact wording but close).. select the "yes" button. This put the "comments" button on all your pictures.

oh..btw.. you can be notified when people leave a comment... it's in the same section as above..right underneath it. HTH icon_smile.gif

Good Luck thumbs_up.gif .. and your cakes are awesome!!

Yep, you have your comments turned off so no one can even leave a comment. Follow the directions posted above and then people can leave comments for you.

It doesn't look like you have comments turned on. If you've had them before, I'm not sure what to tell you. If you haven't, then you're probably like me, and didn't realize they were turned off! Do what ceshell said, and you should be fine. When I first joined, I kept wondering if my decorating was that bad, that I wasn't getting any commentary at all! LOL Turned out, the comments just needed to be turned on. icon_smile.gif
