How long does this keep in storage? How about on the cookie? It has milk, so I was curious. Does it harden so that you can stack cookies, or should I use royal for that?

The high sugar content keeps the milk from spoiling. I think I read where it will keep for a week without refrigeration, two weeks in the fridge. Cookies don't last too long around my house, so there's never been a "time" problem. Be sure to add some brite white food color to the icing when you mix it up. It will help keep the icing from getting cloudy when it gets cold.
