icing to decorate cookies with?
Do you alwyas use 2 different types of icing- one for flooding and one for decorations?
So far my fav is the snow white buttercream with a few minor changes (less meringe powder, more vanilla & butter, no almond). I would like to start using a more "royal icing like" frosting, but haven't tried any yet.
I always use the same icing which is royal icing. I just made christmas cookies yesterday and used Antonia's icing for the first time. Everyone raves about it but I really did not see much differance between it and the wilton icing. Although I did seem to have more of those small pasky bubbles with Antonia's.
I alternate between Antonia's and mmf with some regular ri decorations. I vary depending on how much time I have to do it and how much the customer wants to pay...
Royal icing made the traditional way (with egg whites) - I've tried other things, but always come back to this!
