Flavored Cookie Icing? Help!!

does anybody know if you can add flavorings to Alice's cookie icing? I was hoping to add some Lorann's rasberry flavor to it, but I'm worried it will not set up right. Has anyone tried this? Help! I've got to decorate 4 dozen Xmas trees for tomorrow!!! Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a good tasting "royal icing like" icing for cookies too. Here's a bump!

I haven't tried it myself, but it would seem like you can add a couple of drops of oil to anything you put butter in. I'd be worried if you were trying to whip the meringue but not so much with this one... let me know if you try it.

Thanks guys...that's what I was thinking, since it has butter, it should be ok...Alrighty, I'm gonna try it right now. I'll post my results when I'm done!

Well, I didn't try the Lorann's, but I tried adding some flavored coffemate creamer to thin. Gave it a nice flavor, but now it looks "speckled", as if the coloring isn't mixing properly...I iced one cookie to see if it will set up or not. I may have to ditch the whole batch and just go with a different icing...
trial and error, that's how we learn, right???!!! icon_rolleyes.gif

DON'T ditch it - try adding cocoa powder and see how that works. Nothing much to lose but a little cocoa and you might find out it works nicely...
