Im doing a wedding cake for the weekend and the bride is so unhelpfull! She doesnt care what the cake looks like icon_eek.gif so now its up to me. I finally got her a pic that she sort of liked.
I've made the flowers that goes on top, but in the pic there's these little hearts added, I did them, but dont like them much. Would u go for the one with or without????


So please give me your opinion!!!!!!

The roses are PERFECT for one thing...

And I do prefer without the hearts, I think they take away from the roses.

First of all, beautiful roses! Now, are those the only hearts that will be on the cake or will there be more in other areas to tie them into the design?

I like it better without the hearts, they just draw the eye away from your beautiful roses!

Your roses are BEAUTIFUL!!!! I would go with just the roses. I am a heart person but in this case the hearts don't support the flowers. They are perfect on their own.

Your roses are PERFECT..... I LOVE the heart idea, but I would go with a few more.... smaller and probably in white.... there should be more hearts on the cake somewhere...... I always like it when the customer gives me free reign..... You GO GIRL !!

To me, the roses become more 'casual' with the hearts added. And the color of them detracts as well - again, only my opion. If they were the same red as the roses maybe?

I think you did a great job on the roses and that they are enough. Less is more! icon_smile.gif

Your roses are beautiful! I do like them better without the hearts, but if that's what the bride wants, try making them smaller, maybe a different color, and if they are smaller you could put more in.

I love the roses. Also love the hearts with them only if there are other hearts incorporated into the whole theme of the cake. Of course only my opinion. Also the reds and oranges are all part of my southwest theme thru out my house. Good luck and go for it.

thanks everyone!

The cake is going to be a stacked 3 tier. Im doing some rose petals to put on the other layers, no hearts anywhere else. I will take the hearts out. I didnt like them to begin with, just didnt know why. Now I have some more perspective.

This is going to be my 1st wedding cake so I want it to be perfect!

Wow, your roses are breathtaking! Since the roses are so real looking and perfect I prefer the roses without the hearts.

Honey, showcase those roses, they are beautiful!! They don't need those hearts at all! Now, mine could use something to distract the eye from the roses, but yours are great!!!

My vote......no hearts!

yea, orange hearts. That is the colors of the wedding. The roses are a little deeper red than it looks in the pic.

I like the roses alone but as someone else stated the hearts would be cuter in white. It's your design, you do what you like! OH - magnificent roses - I thought they were real icon_smile.gif

They are made from flowerpaste, I think it similar to US gumpaste.
