I asked this question in the cookie section and got 2 responses? So I figured I would ask here.
What are some good cookie cookbooks?
I prefer cookbooks with lots of pictures so Ican see what the cookie is supposed to look like. I also prefer drop cookies, foreign cookies, and holiday cookies. And I prefer one that gets right to the point: ingredients, directions, that's it. i have both betty crocker cookie books plus a cookie cookbook by HP publishers. something like those are great. I have the reader's digest 1001 cookies, but that's overwhelming and very heavy to carry with me to and from work to read on the subway.
I like Rose Levy Berenbaum's Rose's Christmas Cookies, as well as a book called the Joy of Cookies (it's not associated with the Joy of Cooking, but part of a series of books like Joy of Seafood, Joy of Cheesecake, etc.)

I have been using these for years and they have some tried and true recipies!
Good luck!
I just received in the mail yesterday a book called Christmas Cookies. I got it and 3 others from the good cook website for my introductory offer. It has lots of pictures and looks like it's going to be a great book ![]()
I got The Cookie Bible from Target for something like $12. It was well worth it! I have loved all the recipes I have tried so far. It is broken down into chapters by the type of cookie - drop, refrigerator, chocolate, bar, etc. It has a lot of pictures but not one of every cookie as I would prefer. I don't have it in front of me, but I think there were only a very few that didn't have pictures. I really like it.
