is there an online retailer that sells bigger cake boards to hold a sheet cake? michael's and hobby lobby don't have them around here.

How big do you need??? You might have to have some board cut and cover it. Also, if it is that big, you will need the extra strength to support it.

HL has thick foam board which is great for a large cake board. It's really sturdy. Look for it near the sheets of poster board. I think a huge sheet of it runs like $5.00 or something, and you could easily cut it. HTH

here is were i get my cake boards and boxes from http://www.ccwsupply.com/cakedec/board3.asp and i don't think the prices are to bad at all. I have found these boards are better than wiltons. and they are thicker. hope this will help.

actually, my wilton teacher called me last night and i asked her, and there's a very small cake specialty shop about a mile from my house. she said the only people who really know about it are professionals, it's really tiny and in the basement of another business. so i went, and they had them and the boxes too. hooray!

If you happen to need more, Sam's club also sells them. Inquire at the bakery for them. Depending on the club, they may require you to order them a week or so ahead of time.

Restaurant supply stores are good too. Sysco, for example.
