So, what do you think about this? This is the first object I've ever attempted to model....it's not exactly how I planned it but I think it's ok...any suggestions? Should I do anything different?

Awww, so cute! It looks like a (baby) tiger, so I'd say you succeeded! I can't tell if it has black stripes on the back and tail? If it doesn't, that's the only thing I would suggest adding.

He is really dang cute! I wouldn't be able to tell that it was your first time=) I don't see stripes on the back and tail either, but the darker orange is really cute if you wanted to just use that for stripes on the back and tail too!

Great job.

I did a tigger last night, I added black stripes to him. He is leaning a bit, he wasn't completely dry.

Yes, he is supposed to be a baby...it's for a 1st birthday jungle cake (inspired by the one that karenelli made). I didn't put any stripes on the back, I was looking at a party plate that only had the face of a tiger on it. I didn't even think about the body having stripes too...DUH! icon_rolleyes.gif Thanks for all the nice comments! Here are the rest of the animals that I worked on today:
