I have seen awesome scroll work on some cakes. How do you get it so perfect. Is there a stencil used first, then pipe icing over that? Or is it just freehand? I realy want to try, but was wondering if there were any tricks to making it look perfect?

To best answer your question, it is yes to both. Some people freehand and others buy the imprint kit and go over that. It is preference. It really isn't hard to to freehand, just go with the flow. icon_smile.gif Goodluck and post your pics of it! icon_smile.gif

And make sure to thin your icing to a soft consistency for piping the scrolls. I didn't do that once and I could barely use my hand for a couple of days. icon_smile.gif
