Hi everyone, I have just joined the site and was wondering if people could give me some help and advice on how to decorate my BF's birthdya cake for this weekend!
I am new to all this but can follow recipies easily and much help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you. ![]()
For my last boyfriend's birthday I made him a cake of a woman's body I was kinda trying to imply it was mine.
But I usually try to make him cakes of things he likes/ hobbies, cars, sports etc. He's especially fascinated by the Tazmanian devil so I made him one of those one year. HTH
You can do a round or square cake with the emblem of his favourite sports team. You can make him a beer brand cake too. If he likes hunting or fishing, you can make a deer or a fish....
What are his interests? That might help us come up with some ideas ...
If you look in my photos, there's a three-tiered brown cake with white circles on it and brown balls bursting out of the top. It might give you some ideas. All you would have to do is base ice the cake in whatever color you want and then get some circle cookie cutters or biscuit cutters and make some fondant cutouts to put on the cake (a little bit of water with a damp painbrush will adhere them to the buttercream surface). If you want to do a similar, but less time-consuming topper, get some floral wire, floral tape, and malted milk balls. Shove the floral wire into the malted milk balls and then wrap the floral tape around the wires to connect them to one another. Put some Saran Wrap or press'nseal around the base of the wires and shove them into the cake. You could even leave out the floral tape and just put press'nseal around the bottom of each wired ball and place them sporatically all over the cake.
Just an idea for you...
