Ok, anyone that's made a train cake (with cars attached), what did you learn? What should I avoid, any great tips?

Thanks!

I have a train cake in my photos .... I found it pretty easy to do! My suggestion would be to bake the engine part of the train at a lower temp (325) for a longer amount... and make SURE it's done before you take it out. I undercooked my first one and didn't realize it until it started sinking while it cooled! Send me a PM if you have any questions!

Trina,

Very cute train! Thanks for the tip. I don't have a train pan so I was just going to cut from sheet cakes. What did you make your wheel from?

Thanks!

I used cheap sandwhich cookies and covered them in icing icon_smile.gif
