Loop Bow Made From Mmf?

Just wondering if it is possible to make a loop bow out of MMF? And if it's ok to use MMF can I make the bow 2 days in advance? Thanks!

Yes you can make the loo bow out of MMF and make it 2 days in advance. Don't forget to stuff your loops.

When I made mine about 1 day and a half to 2 days before, it was not dry yet. Maybe I made the bows too thick, but I had to scrap mine. icon_cry.gif Next time I will try making it about a week before, to be safe.

I have never tried to dry MMf, but they have some powder stuff you can use to harden it quicker. I am drawing a blank on what it is called, but they would have it at a cake dec. store.

You can put GumTex in it to make it dry faster, but honestly, I've tried it with and without and haven't noticed a difference. My loops always dry in about a day or so. I don't stuff them, I shape them and lay them on their sides on wax paper.

Thanks for your help. My daughters birthday party is on Saturday and I would really like her cake to have loop bows. icon_smile.gif

I would recommend adding gum paste or gumtex to the MMF about 50%. Remember, MMF is just marshmellows and sugar, and marshmellows stay soft for a very long time.
