After posting Cake Ideas with my Nightmare Before Christmas Cake, I'd like to get a reciepe for a cake taht will hold together when decorated. I very new to all this and am looking forward to getting better with every try. Any advice would be great!! icon_lol.gif

HI !I looked at your cake and wanted to know if you used cake boards and dowells??? If you did not that is probably why you had problems.Cute cake and welcome !

Whoa! Just read my post again from yesterday. Sorry about the spelling errors! I had just woken up from the all nighter party for my daughter. Apparently I didn't need to be typing on a computer! lol. Anyway, to answer your question doreen1092 no I didn't use a cake board. Like I said I'm new to this and thought cake boards were used just for setting finished cakes on. icon_redface.gif But you can bet I will next time! Thanks! Thanks to JanH as well, I will look on that link and see what I can find.
