I need silver fondant also, but don't have access to Luster Dust - so I bought Wilton Shimmer Dust thinking it would do the same thing, but found that is SO NOT true!
Does anyone know how to use the Wilton Shimmer Dust to make fondant silver or should I travel an hour to buy it?? I need it for a cake in a week!!

Hi, I'm so sorry to tell you, you will NOT get silver fondant out of shimmer dust. Shimmer dust is just an edible glitter to make your fondant or buttercream have a little sparkle, looks just like the glitter on any craft! If you really need silver fondant luster dust or super pearl is the way to go. HTH!
