So I bought the Wilton Tilting Turntable from Hobby Lobby this week. And whether the spinner is locked or not, tilted or not, the top wobbles slightly? Is this normal?

I have this turntable and I don't like it at all. I have had cakes slide right of it when I had it tilted to do piping etc. The top is not stable esp. when tilted. I have gone back to the regular turntable that I have.

I have never heard anything good about the tilting turntable. Yes, the biggest complaint is that it wabbles.

Mine does that same thing! I HATE it!!!! I have a new turntable on my Christmas wish list.

I found my cakes ended up looking crooked because I used that Wilton tilting turntable. I thought my cake looked level and then when it was removed from the turn table I noticed it would look tilted because the turntable had been tilted.

I think that is one of the worst items I've bought.

I haven't heard anyone who bought one of these who liked it after using it. I don't understand Wilton, they are world wide and you would think they would want any product with their name on it to be top quality. I have found just the opposite, nearly anything they make seems to be inferior and not worth buying. I do use their colors and cake tips but that's it. Their fondant is just horrible, some separators I bought last year, while reasonably priced were warped and I couldn't get the cake to sit perfectly level. If you want a suggestion for a really nice turntable I bought one from Country Kitchen Sweet Art made of Formica that is reversible, round on one side and rectangular on the other. It measures 20"X14" on the rectangle and 14" on the round side, so you are able to do nearly the largest sized cake layers.

Return it. Get yourself an Axteco or other professional brand. the one I got is a homemade version (though I've seen them elsewhere) where it's flippable, big round turntable or flip it over for a big rectangle turntable. I just lower MYSELF or twist myself to get myself angled better.

However, I fond that many times I use my cheapo turntable resting on a stack of books to raise it for quick things (when I don't wan to dig out the big cake stand). that works fine too.

I have just the plain turntable from them and it wobbles too! I agree, if they are such a big company why is so much of their stuff so crappy?
