So how long does cake batter last if stored in a covered container in the fridge? I had leftover batter from a cake last week and had planned to use it the next day. Unfortunately I was laid up with a bad back for the week. icon_cry.gif So I was wondering if the batter is still any good, or should I toss it? Any help much obliged.

Sadly, I would toss it icon_cry.gif I have never had luck with leftover cake batter stored in the fridge, even after just one day. It never bakes into a good cake. What a waste....but I would toss.

That's what I was afraid of. Oh well, will have to make a new batch I guess. Thanks for the advice.
