Could someone please tell me which type of pan to use to bake the "strawberry house" part of this cake?

I can't see very well if it is a rounded shape or square. you can stack 4 or 5 round cakes and then cover them in fondant.

Cute cake...it looks like a square to me but probably 3 or 4 layers - 3 for a 6" sq. and 4 for an 8" sq.

Check out these links, this looks like a Strawberry Shortcake version of the princess cake. HTH!

Hard to tell from the picture, but since it's supposed to be a strawberry, I bet it's round cakes that have been carved slightly to give it a strawberry shape.

i agree w/ charmed, it's prob a couple of round cakes stacked and carved. i tried using the wonder mold -upside down-for the strawberry house and it was a complete disaster, couldn't hold itself up i guess. i ended up using rice crispie treats for it instead. it's in my pics if you want to check it out, but i hope that helps. if i can prevent even one disaster like mine, it's worth it! good luck icon_wink.gif
