I usually use the pin prick method to write on my cakes since my freehand is awful.

I often end up having to curve the writing on a round cake. For example, if I have a transfer in the middle, I would want to write above it and below it following the shape of the round cake.

I have been using word art to try to get the letters to curve and space properly, but I need to write Congratulations at the top and I'm pulling my hair out. I can't get it round enough with word art. It's more of a gentle arch. That means I have to pull it down too close to the center of the cake to make it fit and still have room for a border.

Does anyone have suggestions how to print out writing in a circle shape? I hope this makes sense (because as I read it, it sounds very confusing). icon_confused.gif

Thanks. I'm working on it now.

Cut out your letters (squares) and tape them to a piece of paper that is the size that you need.

Before you tape the letters, fold the circle in half to give a center line. Tape the middle letter on the fold and then space the others on each side from that. This should give you evenly spaced and centered letters.

if you have MS Word or MS Publisher....use the Word Art feature.

can get all kinds of effects w/ it.
