I am baking a "purple heart" cake and I need a true gold color frosting for George Washington and the edge around the heart. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get that without having to use gold gilding or luster dust. I don't want any sparkle.

I've been pretty happy using yellow with a tiny touch of red to get a golden color...and then muting that with a tiny bit of green to get that muted, old-gold color
