I am trying to do a chocolate transfer, and am using a #2tip, and it just doesn't seem to want to come out of the bag, and my hand is on fire b/c I feel like I need to get it hotter. Any sugges. Right now I'm outlining with black (Halloween midnight black)

The tip is the area that is most susceptible to heat changes. #2 tip is a tiny one anyway - I have this problem with royal icing. I usually use parchment bags for my chocolate due to the reheating needs - I nuke the whole thing.

Some suggestions I have tried or read......

Heating pad covered in clean towel - lay bag on top to help keep it melted.

Hot water - you CAN"T touch the water with the chocolate because it will cease but it you drop your bag and tip into a heavy zipper bag and immerse or allow hot water to run over it, it will safely melt the chocolate.

Also, a toothpick inserted into the end doesn't hurt either.

Hope this helps - my trick for RI and my #1 tip is to have hot water at the ready to drop the tip part of the bag into when it clogs up - the freezer bag for chocolate may work for you.
