ok, so i found out you can use luster dust on Buttercream...but say for instance i want something blue. do i color the buttercream blue and then use lusterdust, or do i just cover in white buttercream and paint on the lusterdust? Thanks as always!!

Depends on how dark you want the blue. I would say with buttercream, coloring the icing blue and then add the luster dust.

This is what I have done in the past. I have mixed the lustre dust WITH the base color that I wanted (some food colors are alcohol based) It mixed really well and I just used a regular paint brush to paint it on.
