I am having problems with attaching the top part of the shoe to the sole of the shoe 
I followed nati's instructions for the gumpaste shoe.
I tried putting crumbled tissue paper underneath it but it gets all bumpy and it doesn't look nice. Do you have any tips or special instructions to attach the top part of the shoe?

try taking a bit of paper towel and rolling it, then tucking it in. The top of the shoe should conform to the smoothness and roundness of the rolled paper towel.
