This might be a stupid question, but how long can I keep a FBCT in the freezer. I'm doing my first one for a party next week and I want to practice tonight. I'd like to use my practice one if it turns out ok. Can it be kept in the freezer for a week?

I don't know why not. After it freezes a little, just wrap it well with plastic wrap to prevent frost and it should be fine.

Oh sure, no problem. I have left mine in the freezer for longer than a week and they were just fine.

Good luck.

I agree with all who answered. I love making them but be sure that if you
plan on leaving it in there for a week or so, that you be very careful when releasing it from the parchment/wax paper. I would let it set for a few minutes, not long at all, just to give it a little taste of room temp them place it so, it won't crack from being too hard.

The longest I have ever left mine was 3 days, and it cracked a little bit, but not bad.

Only bad part about doing a 'trial run' with these is that it's a really good idea to put it on a cake, that is what takes some practice. Also, it sometimes looks way different on the front than the back. Maybe you could try a small one or something, just my opinion..or should I say learning from mistakes icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll stick to trying a small practice one tonight and see how it goes.
